BEVERLY HILLS, Mo. – Cars are repeatedly slamming into a woman’s home, and she says she isn’t getting the help she needs.
In March, an intoxicated man fleeing from a robbery he committed crashed into Lucy Williams home. It left her with major damage to the foundation, including cracks around the walls and ceilings and a massive hole in the side of her home.
And another car crashed into the stop sign in front of Williams home, just feet from her home.
As of Wednesday, MoDOT says an engineer is investigating. Mayor Brian Jackson says he is sympathetic and is willing to work with the Missouri Department of Transportation if there’s a solution the city can be a part of.
Williams says the incidents have been financially and emotionally difficult, as she is simultaneously handling medical issues.
