Woman rescued from burning home in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A woman was rescued from a burning home early Tuesday morning in north St. Louis.

Firefighters responded to the house fire around 4:30 a.m. on the 5700 block of Acme Avenue in Jennings. They were able to rescue a woman trapped inside a bedroom in the house.

First responders say the woman had difficulty breathing due to smoke inhalation and was taken to an area hospital. She is in critical condition.
