ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A woman is left dead after being struck by a vehicle in north St. Louis early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened a little before 1 a.m. Tuesday morning on the 5300 block of Wilborn Drive in Jennings.
Officials say the woman was struck while walking on Wilborn Drive before the crash occurred. Investigators say the driver of the vehicle left the scene after the collision.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
