ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis County woman is due in court at the end of the month for allegedly swindling nearly $60,000 from a Town and Country law firm.

According to the Town and Country Police Department’s probable cause statement, the crime took place between May 27 and Dec. 15, 2022.

At one point, Zoph was hospitalized for serious injuries after a fall. The law firm re-hired Zoph’s predecessor on a part-time basis. The part-time manager discovered that Zoph had inflated her pay rate by several thousand dollars.

Police and prosecutors claim an internal audit revealed Zoph had paid herself $54,754.46 in unauthorized salary. In addition, Zoph made $4,939.25 in unauthorized purchases on the firm’s business credit card.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Zoph with stealing – $25,000 or more. Zoph was issued a summons to appear in court on March 28.
