ST. LOUIS — The wind chill advisory continues through noon today. It’s another very cold start and highs today will only be in the teens, with wind chills in the single digits despite plenty of sunshine.

Single-digit temperatures again overnight with subzero wind chills. Temperatures improve on Sunday, with highs climbing to near 30 and lots of sunshine.

We stay dry through the day and evening, with precipitation chances increasing overnight or early Monday morning.

Monday morning, we are expecting light freezing rain or a wintry mix to impact the morning commute. Due to the light amounts, we are not expecting any ice accumulations to impact power lines or trees; this is mainly a travel concern.

There’s some uncertainty about how long the freezing rain will last on Monday and it will depend on how quickly we see temperatures climb above freezing. If we stay below freezing longer, we could see some impacts on the evening commute as well, but there is less confidence in those impacts.

Temperatures will eventually climb above freezing and then we are stuck in a cloudy and wet pattern for much of the week, with rain chances each day, Tuesday through Thursday.
