ST. LOUIS — There was an orange tint to the sunrise this morning and a little haze in the sky. Wildfire smoke is back in the atmosphere this week.
The jet stream is dipping down into the St. Louis area. Plus, an area of high pressure is keeping our weather quiet as well. The upper level flow is also bringing in that wildfire smoke from the Pacific Northwest and Canadian wildfires.
Meteorologist Angela Hutti says the smoke is not a breathing concern, but it is going to create those atmospheric effects. Those include a milky haze to the sky and those orangish colored sunsets.
