Why Hurricane Milton is stronger than many other hurricanes

Florida’s Gulf Coast region sees many hurricanes, but the storms have grown significantly stronger in the past few years. Hurricane Milton, which is heading towards the Tampa Bay area, has maximum sustained wind speeds of 165 miles per hour, as meteorologists and politicians call it potentially catastrophic.
