Weekend shootings across St. Louis: 1 person killed, 2 injured

ST. LOUIS – Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a spate of shootings over the weekend that left one person dead and two others injured.

The first shooting happened just after 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the 5700 block of Kingsbury Place, located in the Skinker DeBalieviere neighborhood.

Police arrived to find the 54-year-old victim inside his apartment with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. The victim told police he got into an argument with someone in the apartment when that person took out a gun and shot him. The suspect fled before the police arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.


Crews battle massive fire at St. Louis warehouse, no injuries reported

Just after 8:40 p.m., EMS requested police assistance for a fatal shooting at the corner of Gasconade Street and Louisiana Avenue, located in the Dutchtown neighborhood. Police found the victim, an unidentified male, with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The most recent shooting took place just before 4 a.m. on Sunday. Officers responded to a home in the 5500 block of Floy Avenue and met with the victim, a 14-year-old. The teen told police he was riding in a vehicle when he heard gunfire and was shot in his right arm and right side. Police claim the teen did not disclose any additional details about the shooting. He was taken to a local hospital and remains in stable condition.
