WATCH LIVE @ 11 a.m. – Funeral services for fallen Asst. Fire Chief Matthew Tobben.
UNION, Mo. – Matthew Tobben, an assistant fire chief for the Boone County Fire Protection District who died in the line of duty in mid-Missouri, will be remembered with funeral services and procession on Saturday.
Tobben, an assistant chief for the Boone County Fire Protection District, died Monday during a swift water rescue operation when he and three others were thrown from a boat. The other three occupants were rescued.
Funeral services, which will include full fire service honors, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at at East Central College in Union.
There will be a procession with fire service members from the Oltmann Funeral Home to the college prior to the start of funeral services.
