Two Schnucks stores under renovation in 2024

ST. LOUIS — Two Schnucks locations will undergo major renovations this year. The grocer plans to upgrade the Cross Keys store in Florissant and Hampton Village locations. Construction is expected to be complete in both locations by late fall 2024.

David Carey, Vice President of Construction and Maintenance at Schnucks, emphasized the company’s commitment to modernizing and enhancing their existing stores.

“Teammates at both our Cross Keys and Hampton Village locations are prepared and ready to continue offering their customers the highest level of service while their stores are under construction,” states Carey.

The Cross Keys store, which first opened in 2003 and employs 128 people, is the third Schnucks location at this site since 1967. There are 116 employees at the Hampton Village store. It joined the chain during the 1995 National acquisition.

Cross Keys Store Remodel Highlights:

New customer entrances, lighting, and décor.

Expanded and relocated bakery, wine, beer, and liquor departments.

Renovated seafood department and fresh sushi area.

Expanded frozen food, dairy, produce, and deli departments.

New and relocated CVS pharmacy and floral department.

Addition of new check lanes and self-checkouts.

Hampton Village Store Remodel Highlights:

New lighting and décor, and a new refrigeration system.

Expanded and relocated bakery, wine, beer, liquor, frozen food, and dairy departments.

Renovated seafood, deli, and produce departments, and a new cheese shop.

New check lanes and self-checkouts.
