Two more days of great temps, hotter for the weekend

ST. LOUIS – Some clouds early Wednesday morning are trying to drop in a few raindrops along the Mississippi River. They are fighting against the drier air to move into the St. Louis region.

Let’s keep an eye out for a few spotty sprinkles to make it to the ground this morning. We may see a good show of virga, which is rain that evaporates before it reaches the ground.

We’ll see clearing skies into the afternoon. Highs Wednesday will be the coolest of the week, in the upper 70s for most, around 80 in metro STL.

Mostly clear overnight, with spots of fog near daybreak. Wake-up temperatures Thursday will be in the 50s.

One more day of nice weather Thursday: sunshine and highs around 80 with low humidity. Then things start to heat back up on Friday, highs back to the upper 80s.

It will be hot again for the weekend, with highs in the 90s. Looking for rain? There is a slight chance of showers Saturday morning and again in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday.
