Tragic hit-and-run in Florissant kills pedestrian and dog

FLORISSANT, Mo. – Florissant police officers report a fatal hit and run that happened Saturday morning.

Police say that at around 7:00 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Waterford for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle that left the scene.

When officers arrived to the scene they found a 62-year-old man laying in the roadway. A deceased dog, believed to belong to the victim, was also found nearby.

Officers are currently investigating this case as a hit-and-run. They ask residents to use an alternate route while the investigation is ongoing.
