TKO: Kevin Demoff’s historical revisionism sparks controversy

ST. LOUIS – You can be a big fan of history, but not necessarily when its being rewritten. At least in the hands of Los Angeles Rams executive Kevin Demoff.

Demoff has been called a lot of things, but historian shouldn’t be one of them.

Earlier this week, Demoff showed his support for former NFL Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo, who spent three seasons while the franchise was in St. Louis and not particularly in top form.

Since then, Spagnuolo has had a strong run as a defensive coordinator with the Kansas City Chiefs, who just won Super Bowls in back-to-back years. Demoff tweeted earlier this week that Spagnuolo deserved another chance as head coach, also pointing out that he joined a franchise in St. Louis that was a “mess.”

It’s not a real shocker, but Demoff leaves out further details and credits the ownership for their help. But who’s to blame for the mess? Demoff should name some names.

The truth is always a little fuzzy for Kevin, but he’s done the impossible: He’s found a way to be more despised in St. Louis than Rams owner Stan Kroenke.
