FERGUSON, Mo. – Ferguson Police are investigating after multiple people suffered gunshot wounds Monday evening.

Just before 6 p.m. in the 1000 block of Renshaw Dr., police responded to calls for gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found two men and one woman, all suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Ferguson Police Department had blocked off the house next to the crime scene and the home directly across the street.

Several residents were outside, sharing off-camera that they were shaken and unaware of the full extent of the incident. They stated they heard a loud clapping sound, followed by police rushing down the street.

St. Louis County Police are taking over the investigation, according to the Ferguson Police Department public information officer. Officers from the county were collecting evidence from the home.

Police say it appears the shooting occurred inside the home. Before investigators could get in, animal control had to be called to remove a Pitbull from the residence.

All three individuals were transported to a hospital. According to police, one male victim suffered life-threatening injuries, while the second male and a female victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact St. Louis County Police. The investigation is still ongoing.
