ST. LOUIS – Two teenagers face felony charges in a St. Louis County kidnapping case that sparked an AMBER Alert last year.

Prosecutors have charged Kendal White, 19, of St. Charles, and Cam’Ron Henderson, 19, of St. Louis, with on one felony count of kidnapping. A federal indictment disclosing their charges was returned on Wednesday.

White and Henderson are accused of kidnapping a child on Aug. 10, 2023, in north St. Louis County.

Investigators say White and Henderson were searching for someone they believed had stolen firearms from them. The two allegedly kicked in the door of the child’s mother’s home, though the child’s father was the target of their search. He was not there, though the teens tried to take the child from the mother.

The indictment alleges that White pistol-whipped the mother when she resisted to hand over the child. The two reportedly dropped off the child with strangers in St. Louis after seeing an Amber Alert about the kidnapping.

If convicted, White and Henderson could face decades in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
