Teen charged as adult in south St. Louis murder

ST. LOUIS – A teenager is facing charges after the death of an 18-year-old in Dutchtown. Terrence Smith, 17, is being prosecuted as an adult after Jerimiah Grayer, 18, was shot and killed in September.

Smith is facing charges of second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and attempted robbery in the first degree. Two other teens were charged as juveniles with second-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery and first-degree assault.


New clues about what happened before mother’s forest death

Just after 4 p.m. on Sept. 27, officers found Grayer dead in the front yard at the 3500 block of Itaska Street.
