LAS VEGAS – Bud Light, the NFL’s official beer sponsor, is planning to roll out a 60-second commercial during the Super Bowl this weekend featuring “The Bud Light Genie.”
It will be the company’s first Super Bowl advertisement after a tumultuous 2023 calendar year. The brand’s sales tumbled last year after backlash that followed a partnership with a transgender influencer.
Anheuser-Busch titled the new commercial “Easy Night Out” and already released a sneak peek via YouTube on Tuesday morning.
In the commercial, a group of football-watching friends open a bottle of beer in a garage and unleash a Bud Light Genie. The genie leads them through some humorous adventures that also include meetups with Peyton Manning, Post Malone and Dana White.
“The Super Bowl is the highlight of the NFL season for any player, and it’s always been a highlight for the Bud Light team as well,” said NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning via an A-B news release. “We had a lot of fun making this commercial, and I’m sure a lot of people are going to be thinking through what they would wish for if they were lucky enough to meet the Bud Light Genie.”
