Student threat at Wentzville North Point High School

WENTZVILLE, Mo. – North Point High School in the Wentzville School District went on a soft lockdown Thursday morning after a threat was made by a student, according to the district.

Staff was alerted to a threat made on a district device by a student regarding bringing a gun to school. Wentzville Police Department responded to the report.

The district stated that the student responsible for the threat was located and a full investigation is underway.

“We encourage you to have conversations with your child about being positive members of the North Point High School family and being responsible for what they say and share via technology,” an email to parents said.

There is no current danger to students or staff at this time and the lockdown has been lifted.
