ST. LOUIS – According to the Pew Research Center, almost 1 in 5 stay-at-home parents are dads in the U.S., and now some of those dads have gathered in St. Louis for HomeDadCon.

The National At-Home Dad Network is hosting their annual convention for dads at the Drury Plaza Hotel from October 17 through October 19.

The network started as a trio of at-home dads from Washington D.C. that created the first and only non-profit organization for at-home dads in 2006. The organization began connecting at-home dads and providing local playgroups for their kids.

Now, dads from St. Louis and even across the nation from other “dad groups” in Chicago, Washington D.C., and Denver, Colorado, will gather for the network’s three-day convention.

HomeDadCon will feature networking opportunities, speakers and panels while dads enjoy a relaxing time away from their families.

St. Louis Dads Meetup is just one of the many communities in partnership with The National At-Home Dad Network that meetup regularly in St. Louis to talk all things dad-related.

“HomeDadCon is just a stop on the road through fatherhood, where men get to learn from their peers on how to be better parents, husbands, and partners in the caregiving of their children,” said Jonathan Heisey-Grove, president of The National At-Home Dad Network.
