ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – People can now pop fireworks in St. Peters.

St. Peters approves a bill allowing the sale and use of fireworks. People who live there will now be allowed to set off fireworks on their property between noon and 11 p.m. on July 3 and 4 each year.

The bill does prohibit the discharge of fireworks within 600 feet of hospitals, churches, mental health facilities, and schools.

Fireworks stand owners can apply for a permit between January 2nd and May 1st each year and pay a fee.

Stands can operate from June 25th to July 4.
