ST. LOUIS – Chiefs fans across the state are getting excited for Super Bowl weekend.

Fans locally are on the hunt for shirts and jerseys with their favorite players numbers.

“We’ve had people buying stuff for their dogs; it’s just everything at this point,” Tom Robinett, assistant store manager Rally House in Brentwood, said.

Robinett said that Chiefs gear has been flying off the shelves for weeks.

“When they played Miami in the wild card, we had people coming in buying parkas and coats because they were going to go sit in the negative 27 F weather at Arrowhead Stadium,” he said. “These are people from St. Louis so I think they’ve definitely solidified themselves as our team.”

Chiefs fans in St. Louis were shopping after Sunday’s win, looking for more ways to support the team as if they were based in St. Louis.

“They are in Missouri. Kansas City, Missouri. So I feel like they are St. Louis’ team too,” Millicent Dohr, fan, said.

Like many others, she said her family can’t wait for game day.

“They’re just an incredible team. Patrick Mahomes is a role model, and Travis Kelce and the chemistry they have and Andy Reid,” Dohr said. “I think a lot of St. Louisans support the Chiefs, and it’s become our football team after the Rams left.”
