ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman competed in season two of the FOX television game show “The Floor” which aired the season’s first episode Wednesday night.

Angie Warfield was a contestant on the hit show hosted by Rob Lowe, which aired on FOX 2.

“Basically you are tasked with defending your category while also attacking all other opponents in their categories of expertise,” Warfield said. “You do these duals with Rob Lowe on the studio stage and you go back and forth as quickly as possible, identifying images related to your category.

In season one, there were 81 contestants, and season two had 100 people participating. Warfield was just one of them.

“I applied earlier this year and got a call in June after a bunch of audition reels and they said ‘hey we want you on the show, can you travel to Ireland, do you have a passport?'”

Warfield responded with “sign me up.”

The last contestant standing could win over $100,000. Warfield could not reveal who won the grand prize, but says viewers won’t want to miss who does.

Season 2 of “The Floor” premiered Wednesday at 8 p.m. on FOX 2
