ST. LOUIS — Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Boyd died this morning due to a medical issue. Boyd, a 20-year veteran, was part of the St. Louis Sheriff Department’s first class of Post Certified Trained Deputies in 2022.
“Deputy Boyd was a true public servant, embodying the spirit of duty and sacrifice. His loss is a tremendous tragedy, not only for his family but for the entire St. Louis community. We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” states St. Louis Sheriff Vernon Betts.
The Sheriff’s Office will announce details for memorial services in the coming days. They have requested privacy for Boyd’s family during this time.
