St. Louis police treat local students to free school supplies

ST. LOUIS – For many students in the City of St. Louis, the new school year begins Monday. St. Louis police are doing their part to make sure students are ready.

Officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department handed out school supplies and goodies to many students on Saturday morning at their South Patrol Division offices.

Police gave away notebooks, highlighters, pencils, paper, markers, pens, children’s books and other school supplies to families in need.

There was even free breakfast, ice cream and some tours of the police cars.
