ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police need help identifying thieves who tried to bust into an ATM in downtown St. Louis while holding a pizza on Thursday.

The attempted break-in happened back on August 8 at U.S. Bank on North Tucker Boulevard and Locust Street. The police did not release a specific time for the incident.

Investigators released some pretty clear surveillance images of the suspects; one of whom appeared to be holding pizzas in one of the pictures. Surveillance images reveal that it was dark when the suspects made their move.

It appears from the images that the suspects could have been targeting a free-standing ATM near the bank building.

Surveillance shows the suspects trying to cover their faces but that effort was not entirely successful. Parts of the suspect’s faces are revealed in the images.

The police also provided an image of the getaway car used in the crime. It appears to be a dark-colored sedan.

St. Louis police say the suspects were unable to take anything from the ATM during the crime. But the attempted robbery left the ATM damaged.

Officers from District 4 originally responded to the scene.
