ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man has been arrested for brandishing a gun, threatening his victim, and hitting the victim in the face. The incident occurred on July 7 at 1235 Hampton Ave, St. Louis.

According to court documents Reginald Bryant Wright, 59, was arrested on July 16 and is charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action for attacking a Steak ‘n Shake employee.

Wright approached the counter at Steak ‘n Shake to complain about his food. After receiving a refund, he threw the change at the employee.

The employee then walked from behind the counter and swung a small container at Wright, who blocked it with his left arm before throwing a drink at the employee.

They began pulling each other’s shirts when the employee pushed Wright away. Wright then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the employee and a second employee, who was also threatened.

Wright approached the first victim and struck her in the head with the firearm, causing her to fall. The second victim intervened, pulling Wright away from the first victim, only to be hit on the head with the gun by Wright.

Wright was identified and arrested about a week later, still in possession of the firearm. Upon arrest Wright is being held without bond.
