ST. LOUIS – A cold front has moved through the St. Louis region and that will bring in cooler temperatures and slightly lower humidity.

There will be sunshine Friday morning, with a bit of an increase in clouds this afternoon.

A few isolated showers may pop up Friday afternoon on the backside of our departing storm system. The best chances will be in Illinois, but most will stay dry. Highs in the mid- to upper 80s.

Saturday and Sunday look like quiet and typical summer days. Sunny, hot, and a bit muggy but not extreme; highs near 90.

By Monday and Tuesday, we are going to dial the heat and humidity back up. Highs are forecasted to be back in the mid-90s, with heat index values back around 100.

Another cooldown is on tap starting Wednesday, with a chance of some storms late in the day and into the night.
