ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis firefighter confessed to stealing from the scene of a fatal car crash.
According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, four people in an SUV were killed in a hit-and-run collision in February 2023 at South Grand Boulevard and Forest Park Avenue.
Arnold Britt pleaded guilty to a felony and misdemeanor for stealing the victim’s wallet and credit card.
Prosecutors are asking for him to be sentenced to six years, saying he deserves a harsher penalty because Britt is a firefighter.
Britt is set to be sentenced on September 6.
