ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis cat is competing for the title of Cadbury Bunny. If he wins, he will star in the 2025 Cadbury egg commercial, with his owner earning a cash prize.

Rorschach, adopted from the Belleville Area Humane Society in 2022 after being rescued as a stray, is competing in the Cadbury Bunny contest.

One locally adopted cat, turned therapy animal, is in the running for the Cadbury Bunny Contest. Rorschach is in the semi-finals, voting starts next week.

The competition consists of five rounds of voting, with the initial round kicking off on March 11. While there will be several winners throughout the contest, the grand prize recipient will secure a spot in next year’s candy commercial, along with a $5,500 cash prize.

Rorschach, adopted from the Belleville Area Humane Society in 2022 after being rescued as a stray, is currently the only registered therapy cat through Pet Partners in the STL area. He regularly visits nursing homes, schools, and universities.

His owner, Paige Krisby, remarked, “We visit monthly to Friendship Village in STL and often visit Fontbonne University.”

Krisby said that when they are not working, Rorschach loves to dress up in fun outfits.

“We are honored to be chosen as finalist,” she said. She also ads in that she is happy to get the word out about therapy cats, “Less than 1% of therapy animals are cats.”
