BRENTWOOD, Mo. – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged a woman with allegedly stealing her coworker’s car at a local Saint Louis Bread Company.
According to the Brentwood Police Department probable cause statement, the theft happened on Aug. 2, 2023, in Brentwood Square.
Police said Angela M. Jones (age not provided) took the keys from the victim’s lunch box while he was working, then drove off in the car. The incident was captured on store surveillance video.
Police found the stolen vehicle the following day in downtown St. Louis, with an occupant inside. The occupant shared a connection with Jones, and Jones was arrested several months later.
Jones admitted to taking the victim’s keys and his car after her arrest but said she could remember why she had done so, police said.
Prosecutors charged Jones with stealing – motor vehicle. Jones was released from police custody and has been summoned to appear in court on September 23.
