ST. LOUIS – The Missouri House Special Committee on Education Reform has approved the measure to expand charter schools into St. Louis and St. Charles counties.

Currently, state law only allows charter schools in St. Louis City, Kansas City, and unaccredited school districts. Advocates say more charter schools would give parents who can’t afford private schools more options.
