ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Charles County man is sentenced to five years of probation and community service for illegally selling hundreds of guns.

FOX 2’s partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that several dozen of the guns 69-year-old Harry Trueblood sold were used in crimes and suicides. He also sold them to felons, a minor, and someone who had such severe mental health issues, two gun stores turned him away.

In November, Trueblood pleaded guilty to being an unlicensed firearms dealer. Attorneys say his sentence is because of his age, lack of criminal history, and saying he didn’t intend to sell to convicted felons.
