ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – Beginning Tuesday, St. Charles County residents will be able to check their personal property tax statements online before paper bills are mailed out in November.
According to Collector of Revenue Michelle McBride, anyone who signed up for eAlerts will receive a notification by text, email, or both that their statement can be viewed online.
“If you’re a taxpayer and you want to get your bill out of the way, just go online and pay,” McBride said. “The convenience fee for an e-check is a flat $1.50, not that much more than the price of a stamp, and you won’t have the stress of worrying about whether your payment made it to the Collector’s Office.”
People can sign up for the notifications by registering at StCharlesMoCollector.com.
The county has prepared more than 182,000 personal property tax bills and approximately 130,000 real estate tax bills. Real estate tax bills won’t be posted until mid-November.
“The reason we’re doing this is to give the Collector’s Office more time to prepare documents that will be included in the November mailers for those who qualified for the Senior Property Tax Freeze,” McBride said. “They’ll get a statement showing the amount of their credit this year, and information on how to renew for the 2025 tax year.”
Tax bills are delinquent on Jan. 1, 2025.
