ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge convicted a St. Ann man last week for child sex crimes.

Francisco Ramirez, 34, was taken into custody immediately following the verdict and his bond was revoked. He’d been charged with first-degree statutory rape and first-degree statutory sodomy.

The crimes occurred between June 1, 2021, and June 1, 2022. Prosecutors said the victim, who was less than 12 at the time, told her mother about the abuse. They met with a forensic interview at the Children’s Advocacy Center and the victim recounted the crimes. A medical exam confirmed physical trauma and child sexual abuse. The St. Ann Police Department was notified and launched a criminal investigation.

Ramirez will be sentenced on April 11.
