ST. LOUIS – Eight-time Gold Glove winner, four-time All Star and 2006 World Series champion Jim Edmonds joined FOX 2’s Martin Kilcoyne for Sports Final on Sunday, not only for a chat on baseball, but also football.

Edmonds is a co-founder of an organization called Light Helmets, which aims to improve helmet safety in the game of football.

Edmonds says these helmets are around three pounds lighter than standard professional football helmets and aim to reduce concussions. He says around 18 locker rooms are currently using these football helmets across different levels.

Additionally, Edmonds talks about this year’s St. Louis Cardinals team and whether he would consider coaching at some point in his career.
