JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Jasper County authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that might be connected to a death investigation.
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office investigators said in a release Tuesday they’re looking for a red or maroon, 2010 Chevy Cobalt with Oklahoma license plate PIH667. Its passenger-side rear door bears significant damage, as depicted in the JCSO-provided photos below:
Deputies found a man’s body early Monday evening in the ditch on I-44 near the 14.8 mile marker. He was identified as Jesse Gilmore, 63, from Oklahoma. An autopsy is scheduled for September 20.
