LINDENWOOD PARK, Mo.- Concrete barriers can be found in neighborhoods across the city of St. Louis.
Many feel they are an eyesore. Some wish the city would remove them altogether.
The barriers, or “dead ends,” were put in place more than two decades ago to curb speeding in residential areas. But they’ve drawn mixed feelings from residents ever since.
While some have attempted to soften the barriers with plants and other decorations, one group of south city neighbors decided to put their artistic skills to use and take it to the next level.
And they hope others across our area will be inspired by their work and do the same in their neighborhood.
