ST. LOUIS — Above-normal temperatures will continue through Thursday, with 60s for highs today and 50s tomorrow. We’re expecting some snow on Friday.
Colder air will drop south across the region on Friday, along with a fast-moving storm system. This will bring along with it a band of precipitation. The timing is coming into better focus as we get closer to the weather event.
The leading edge of this band will be rain, but a quick change to snow is likely. The precipitation will start between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday in metropolitan St. Louis, with a quick change to snow shortly thereafter. The most likely time for snow and possible minor impacts will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with snow tapering off quickly mid-to-late afternoon.
Some light accumulation is possible, especially on grassy surfaces. Roads may briefly become slushy from midday through the afternoon bus stop during the heaviest of the precipitation.
