ST. LOUIS – If you smelled smoke in the air late Wednesday night, it wasn’t from a fire in St. Louis or even from Missouri.
Many reported a haze in the sky or a smell of smoke lingering in the air, which was due to a wildfire south in Arkansas.
The smoke was pulled north into southern and eastern Missouri with upper atmospheric winds.
While the haze is moving more into Illinois, a part has stuck around in St. Louis into Thursday morning.
