Six mausoleum doors stolen from cemetery in St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Police are investigating after six bronze mausoleum doors were stolen from a cemetery in south St. Louis County.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, the doors were taken from the New Mount Sinai Cemetery in Affton, located on the 8300 block of Gravois Road.

The doors were first observed to be missing on Feb. 2 but it is currently unknown when the theft initially occurred. According to police, the doors are believed to weigh between 200 and 500 pounds and are described as “priceless.”

Although there was not a picture of the exact doors that were taken, the St. Louis County Police Department posted a picture of doors that are similar to the ones that were stolen as an example.
