ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Saint Louis County Executive Sam Page has launched an investigation after three employees allegedly received raises they were not entitled to receive, according to a news release Tuesday.
The county will investigate “improper raises” made to County Auditor Toni Jackson and two others employees who report to the County Council, per the news release.
The county’s charter enables Page to investigate financial improprieties within the county.
To proceed with the investigation, Page has asked the Director of Administration to provide any and all documents related to overpayments. The Director of Administration oversees payroll, the budget office and human resources.

“As we investigate the administrative process, we do so with the priority of protecting the
rights of the whistleblower who brought this issue forward,” said Page. “The goal of
the investigation is to determine what happened, how to prevent it from happening again,
and ensure that the county is made whole.”
Page has requested relevant records amid this investigation to his office by Friday.
