CLAYTON, Mo. – A beloved September event returns this weekend to Clayton, and the forecast couldn’t be better.

The 31st annual Saint Louis Art Fair kicked off at 5 p.m. Friday under sunny blue skies and a comfortable breeze.

This group of unique and diverse artists really can’t ask for a better forecast as they gear up for another great year.

Organizers say that their 200 artists represent more than 30 countries and come from as far as Argentina.

You can find art from basically all categories here: Painting, photography, mixed media, ceramics, metal, wood, and jewelry to name a few.

This event is exclusive, and artists say that this is one of the most sought after art fairs to get to attend.

“I think our community really comes out to support these artists. And also our reputation of being really one of the top notch as well as transparent in our jury process. So we have jurors that are art aficionados, collectors, to educators, to the artists themselves and so we have a group of five every year selecting of over 1,000 applicants for the 200 slots,” said Stacy Wipfler, a board member for the Saint Louis Art Fair.

There are some free parking options and organizers are grateful for the support of the businesses in this area. The art fair runs until 10 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
