“Rust” weapons supervisor convicted in connection with fatal shooting

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the set of “Rust,” has been convicted for negligence following the shooting that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021. Actor Alec Baldwin, who was handling the gun when it discharged, is set to face trial this summer after he pointed the gun at Hutchins when it went off.
