Record-breaking heat forecasted for Sunday and Monday

ST. LOUIS — There is elevated fire danger again today due to gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry vegetation. Highs near 80 with plenty of sunshine. Overnight lows stay mild, dropping into the upper 50s to low 60s.

Highs on Sunday and Monday will be near record highs. Sunday will be in the mid- to upper 80s, with similar temperatures as Monday. Next week will be more unsettled, with shower and storm chances returning Monday night. Late Tuesday into Tuesday night, we have a chance of storms and some of those could be strong to severe.
