Porch pirate targeted homes in Lafayette Square, Soulard: Police

ST. LOUIS – An accused porch pirate appeared in court Tuesday for a bond hearing after being charged with stealing deliveries from homeowners in Lafayette Square and Soulard.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the thefts occurred between June 3 and July 17 at the following locations: the 2200 block of Park Avenue, the 1400 block of Dolman Street, the 1700 block of South 10th Street, and the 1100 block of Dolman Street.

The victims told police they had Amazon deliveries that had been left outside their homes. Police reviewed surveillance video from each theft and identified Geraldo A. Ford, 35, as the thief. He was arrested on July 28 while officers were on patrol.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Ford with four counts of stealing – $750 or more and resisting arrest.
