ST. LOUIS — Friends and family gather to remember Kisha Jackson at the Harlem Tap Room. Jackson was struck and killed outside of the bar in the Vandeventer neighborhood on May 3.

According to St. Louis police, a vehicle traveling east struck Jackson as he crossed Page against the flow of traffic. The vehicle left the scene and has yet to be identified.

“I just want the guy to turn himself in. We need closure, and we need justice for my sister. She did not deserve this; you know she was full of life, she loved life,” said her sister, Jeanette Jackson. “It’s just really hard, she didn’t have insurance so we’re struggling to bury her.”

A visitation and funeral are planned for a week from today. Donations are being collected at the Metro East Mortuary and the Harlem Tap Room.
