ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Officials at Lutheran North Middle & High School say that police seized a weapon from the school on Monday and took “appropriate action” after the discovery.
Dr. Tim Brackman, head of the school, addressed parents of the situation in a letter Monday. He says, “the process took place in such a way that the school day was not disrupted in the least and students were not even aware.”
According to the letter, someone discovered an unloaded weapon during a routine search of all lockers. Officials then called St. Louis County police officers to the school.
Brackman said in the letter that it was an “unusual, disappointing event” and one he had never experienced at the school.
No injuries were reported amid the discovery of the weapon.
