ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of one victim after he was discovered unconscious around 1:30 a.m. near Blair Avenue.
According to police reports, an individual brought a man to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was unconscious and not breathing. He passed away at the hospital.
A witness informed investigators that the shooting occurred on Blair Avenue near the Bissell Street Water Tower. It remains unclear whether any suspects are currently in custody.
Police have requested a homicide investigation. As this is an ongoing investigation, FOX 2 will provide updates as more information becomes available.
