Plans approved for MetroLink green line

ST. LOUIS – Plans for MetroLink expansion get the green light.

The East-West Gateway Council of Governments approved the revised north-south MetroLink proposal. The 5.8-mile route would run from Grand and Natural Bridge in the north to Jefferson Avenue and Chippewa in the south.

The new MetroLink green line would have ten stations reduced from the original proposal of 13. the estimated cost is $1.1 billion. Bi-state CEO Taulby Roach says the vote moves us closer to applying for federal money.
