ST. LOUIS – A popular pizzeria that former President Barack Obama once proclaimed his favorite in the country, is now officially closed.

Pi Pizzeria in the Central West End closed it’s last remaining location Sunday night.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the closure was due to a variety of reasons, the most significant being the pandemic.

Country star, Luke Bryan will take over Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on July 28th and you can win your way in!

The business, including the recipes, furniture, and fixtures, are for sale, according to owner Chris Sommers.

In 2007, Sommers bought the recipe from his favorite pizza in San Francisco and turned it into a local restaurant success story.

At about the same time, when Obama was visiting St. Louis, he declared Pi Pizza his favorite, which garnered Sommers a visit to the White House to cook pizza for the president and his staffers.
